There will be teams that we play next year that also will be a potential mess: Colorado and Iowa State and potentially Kansas St

After the '69 season I said that at least we can't get any worse. Someone pointed out that yes we can. Next year we play 11 games.

Hey, I was there in 1970. As I recall we beat the Aggies and Army. We actually won 2 games!! We only lost to UT by 7.

Guess who our only win was in 1971? Indiana.

The last game of the Bill Beall tenure was a loss to Rice in Houston. There might have been 5,000 people in 70,000 seat Rice Stadium.

Yeah the Big 12 will be more in flux than some realize, so it wouldn't be a shocker if Baylor wins 5-7 games against its 2026 schedule.

It wouldn't matter. Most teams let off the gas once they get a 40-point lead or so. For us oldtimers, Dave's teams would have been an improvement when I was in school. Bill Beale did use a lot of green paint, though!

Wasn't Joel Allison on those teams? And now a BOR with influence. Go figure…
