"The latest developments appear to move this far beyond posturing. The Bears have been in the city of Chicago for more than 100 years but have been aggressively searching for options after the proposed building site in Arlington Heights stalled. Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker told reporters as late as Wednesday that he felt progress had been made on stadium talks, though concerns over the percentage of the stadium that would be taxpayer-funded and the taxpayers' burden for covering nearly half a billion dollars in Soldier Field renovations remained a sticking point. "

So now we only need the Colts to move back to Baltimore, and the Ravens can move to San Antonio and change their name to the Grackles.

One would think that if the Bears' staying in Illinois were so important, Gov Pritzker and other leaders would at least be available to take calls from Bears leadership.

The other story today about Boeing moving corporate HQ from northern Virginia, in the aftermath of a socialist's election as governor, to St. Louis also produced gales of laughter at my house.

Actually, Ravens moving to Cleveland would be hilarious and awesome. Heads would explode. But that's their true legacy as the Browns, the franchise Jim Brown played for.

I was hoping you were talking about Baylor.

That's one way to try and win a Natty.

Between Notre Dame and now IU, I think the Hoosier state would probably say "no thanks."

Defense HQ is moving back to STL, where they were for years. Corporate HQ staying in VA.

Most defense aircraft and parts are made in midwest. Theory back in the day was it was harder to get to them there. Never made sense for defense to move to VA and away from their plants and subs (other than government schmooze)

My aunt worked for Boeing and subs for decades in the Midwest.

Sounds like Boeing has a screw loose.

Nope. Everything very well fastened down. Made a bad decision and corrected it.
