Anyone playing the odds to make money by when McNamee gets tired of Rhoades's stoolie?

I don't know how much authority McNamee has outside the dictates of the wokie okie.

I suspect 6-6 and a bowl game gets him another year. In general, without a complete administrative overhaul, I think this is pretty much the internal standard of success for Baylor football going forward.

A losing season probably gets him fired.

Simple economics will keep Whispering Dave at BU until 2029. Book it!

We were told repeatedly by the staff that December 1st of last year was the date to be looking for. Supposedly his contract become much smaller, and doable in terms of firing.

What happened?

What sucks is that he has two cupcakes to be a quarter of the way there so 6 wins is infuriating

Sometime in 2028.Dave's going nowhere anytime soon. He will continue to torpedo the program the next several years

Considering Aranda managed to not make a bowl game despite having had his most talented roster in five years and was predicted to compete for a Big XII title, I'd say the chances are 0% that he'll be leaving as long as Livingstone is still the school president.

Every school in the country would have fired Aranda after 2023 with the losing and the Austin Novosad debacle. AD incompetence and Livingstone's Dunning-Kruger syndrome are why we're here. Baylor is a national joke and rightfully so.

Linda Livingstone declared that Aranda was staying to promote roster stability. And then Baylor had one of the highest transfer rates (net -30)/decommit numbers (we lost a player to Rice!) in the country.

McNamee is being held to only one standard, and that's athletics finances.

Which is not the standard that will return BU to the national relevance it (and we) enjoyed during the later CAB years, despite all those who are convinced that it's mainly an NIL issue.

Our schedule has NO CUPCAKES. Aranda has proven he can be out coached by lesser potential teams. Remember Texas State & Liberty University. I hope Aranda is fired if we lose to either La. Tech or Prairie View. But by the time we play BYU his tenure should be over. Possibly 3-6 with only real competition left will send him away.

Furthermore, every actual realist that frequents these boards knew exactly what was going to happen.

Liberty loss was under Rhule. Same season saw a loss to UTSA. A one win season.

Liberty was under Rhule, and also far different circumstances.

I must repeat, the only reason we lost that Texas State game was because all of Matt Rhule's superhumans that he had recruited had all graduated by that point, we were playing with a broken leg that season

Many felt that UTAustin had a hand in orchestrating the downfall of BU athletics. Meh... BU proved to be fully capable of accomplishing the task unaided.

Will never understand that 1-11 team, other than Rhule internationally tanked the season. There were enough CAB holders over players to field a competitive team.

I'm sure there is such a thing. They have bets on just about everything.

It was a weak team and it's easy to see why it didn't have a winning record, but on the other hand I agree, 1-11 was ridiculous as there for sure should've been more wins than that. To add insult to injury in the off-season after that disaster, Rhule was already openly playing footsie with the NFL.

Losing builds character. That's what Rhule said.

I didn't know Matt Rhule caused the entire 2016 recruiting class to decommit.

Nearly the whole roster was comprised of two and three star guys who got pressed into playing early when 100% of the time they woukd have redshirted. It's little wonder why they got pushed all over the field.
