It's a farm system.

If a player at either school has a breakout season and outperforms their high school recruiting rankings, they can transfer to the mother ship.

Maybe they have plans to use this as a minor league feeder school.

Gotta think like a pro franchise and that system works for major league baseball.

College station
Tarleton
Prairie view
East Texas
Kingsville
West Texas

How many years in a row is this going to be news? When they announced they were moving up to D1 it was stated their plan was to eventually move up to FBS.
