WACO, Texas (KWTX) - In 1991, Louis Fite was one of the state's top high school football players.
An All-American running back and the Texas 5A Player of the Year, Fite lit up Friday nights at Paul Tyson Stadium for the Waco High Lions. At one point, Fite was committed to Baylor to play for longtime head coach Grant Teaff, but that never happened.
Matter of fact, there were many things that happened to Fite that others were unaware of.
At one point, the Waco High star was homeless, sleeping on different couches or even under the bleachers of Paul Tyson, often wondering where he would find his next meal.
