The AD needs to get this guy out asap before we lose this team for the season. Pull a fkin bridge loan to pay off his contact for gods sake. Do something!

We were told for YEARS, by cult barber and that girl named ashley, that December 1st of 2025 was the date because his contract shrunk

What happened? lol So many excuses for this loser of a HC

I hate to break it to you, but the loss yesterday is probably a net positive for his job security. What I have come to learn over the years about Baylor football is that if the win/loss column is at or near the top of your criteria for enjoyment, you are very much in the minority. The real requirement is for us to put up a good fight so that our donors can go to the golf course and feel like they can converse with their SEC buddies over football discussion without feeling too embarrassed.

It would be kind of fun to tabulate the amount of money that Baylor had to pay the coaches and players for them to lose yesterday. Losing is expensive in modern football

For sure,

People will quote for the next two years how on the road we almost beat a SEC team lol

Someone needs to draw a line in the fkn sand already.

Dave always does enough to give the homers a bit of hope. It's impossible to get rid of him

It's funny how, the week before every game, our fanbase spends all week explaining why the opponent is overrated to get themselves hot and bothered. "They're "just a bunch of USF transfers," they have a "first-year head coach,", "their roster isn't that talented", etc.

Then we lose, and suddenly RUG PULL - that same team is "sneaky good," "way better than people realize," and may go on to win their conference or even the whole enchilada

So glad that I didn't bother to watch the game yesterday. It was more of Dave Aranda doing Dave Aranda things. Good thing that he was retained for roster stability though.

A close loss against Temu Alabama coached by Temu Brian Kelly isn't impressive. We lost to the same team a second time led by a different coach for a reason. It's truly pathetic and embarrassing. But hey, roster stability, AMIRITE?!

I think people forgot that Dave is the same coach that lost to Air Force after having weeks to prepare during bowl season and then came out after an entire off-season and lost to Texas state. Our donors bought him a bit better talent, but he didn't stop being that coach

All I saw yesterday was a 7 yr HC lose to a like an 8 month HC

Oh no, merely saying that we lost to Air Force is grossly understating what really happened. We were soundly defeated by the passing game from a team that runs the triple option. That should never happen against a competently managed team. But Aranda made it happen.

That was definitely last year on the premium board. We got belt-to-ass from Auburn and suddenly they were saying that Jackson Arnold is a dark horse Heisman contender and Auburn may win the SEC.

In the words of Dolly Parton, it takes a lot of money to look this cheap.

Life really isn't fair. This guy continues to fail upwards year after year after year and he CONTINUES to get bailed out over and over because we haven't had a grape scandal under him. I get it, he's safe, he's not someone who will bring noise to Baylor. This program can turn it around without Dave. Give it to Klanderman and Spav in the interim let them run it like Art and Phil did. We don't need this absentee coach who comes in and fks the game up with idiotic executive calls almost every gd game the last 5 years.

The problem with gambling and winning is that it's so invigorating that the one time it works for you, you forget about the three times it didn't.

With respect to the author of this article, he doesn't get how Baylor leadership works. Like I said, the close loss yesterday was a net positive for his job security

On a different, but contiguous issue… watching two games Sunday evening and the FIRST points scored in each game, wait for it… wait for it… a FIELD GOAL!!!

If you ask Mr Google, he will tell you that the first team that scores has at least 60+% odds of winning. That stat goes back decades.

I would have fired him after the Texas state loss. That can never ever happen. With that said given current administration, I think Dave needs to make bowl game to keep his job. If he squeaks out a bowl they will see it as progress.

Is there any legitimate scenario in the upcoming Prarie View game that could indicate valid trouble? Prarie View should be a game BU could name its score.

PVAM feels like another Liberty, UTSA or Tx St home loss coming. Just enough talent for Dave to look past during his prep.

If Dave were to go back to calling defensive signals, we could lose.

Lagway coming out and throwing interceptions or fumbling the ball. Or him hobbling around on his ankle.

Lagway should not be playing at all next week and Aranda is a fool if he starts him.

I'm just tired of Dave Aranda. I'm tired of hearing the excuses about how he'll be better if he just gets (fill in the blank). Everything has changed around him except the results. Several new OCs, same with DCs, new QB, etc.

My biggest fear is that we'll squeak by with anything from a 5-7 to 7-5 season but our losses will be close, the team will fight, and Dave will get another year "to build upon some good things we saw".

I wish it were different but he's just not a head coach at this level, and I'm ready for someone else.

The only thing that offers some hope is the last two times we've struggled badly enough to necessitate a coordinator change, we've been surprisingly good the following season.

The move from Fedora to Jeff Grimes helped precipitate arguably the greatest season in Baylor football history, and the move from Grimes to Spavital helped usher in a surprisingly fun 2024 campaign.

No one expected us to be good in 2021 or competitive in 2024, and Aranda's boys managed to surprise us. Maybe with the addition of Klanderman, who had a hell of a debut in the DC role, we'll experience a similar turnaround.

Frankly, it would be just like Aranda to save his job with a bounce-back year ... only to go 4-8 next season.

I'd say scoring more than one measly point per every 27.25 yards gained.

Goofy post. I didn't realize criticizing a millionaire head coach on a free message board might somehow jinx the team into not even having a chance.

Why do the Pollyannas on here consistently hate free speech
