Has anyone heard an update on Lagway's ankle? Has a diagnosis been given? I'm with those who say rest him for a game or two if necessary so he will be at full strength when conference play rolls around. I was very impressed by what Lagway did on a bad ankle for most of the game. And the defense looked great. Excited to see what we can do this year if we stay relatively healthy. Sic 'em!

If the PV game is competitive, then we're gonna have way bigger fish to fry as far as the rest of the season is concerned.
Sit Lagway this game (I wouldn't even let him suit up this Saturday) and see where he is by the time LA Tech rolls around in 2 weeks.
Per @chris_hummer Lagway is set to undergo further testing on ankle, but expected to still play this weekend.

I am with most of you all. Let that ankle fully heal and let him sit vs. PVAM unless he is 100% or the game is a lot closer than what we expect to see.

Because it's a home game against what should be an out classed cupcake opponent that we should be able to beat decisively even with a backup QB or QBs. Why risk further injury to a presently wounded starting QB that we have to have for the upcoming B12 schedule in a game like this - unless, again, it somehow becomes a lot more competitive than it should be?

Also a valid point, but we've got a final non-con "warm up game" before conference the next week against La Tech for him to get further experience (assuming he continues to heal from the injury) plus he's likely going to be much more needed in this game to get the W.
Glad to hear it's not a high ankle strain and that he is expected to recover relatively quickly.

Medically cleared to play != Uninjured.

He wouldn't get better as a player, but…he might get well.
We had to rein in Sawyer's running when he was not 100%. I hope we don't have to take that out of the playbook for Lagway also.
That is a tough call. Giving the nod to NB so Lagway can rest ankle certainly makes sense. But Lagway certainly showed some issues that need cleaning up vs Auburn and a perceived "easier" match up game could help with additional game time and reps. I leaned towards DJ is our QB1...if he can lace then up then he's the guy.

Those paper depth charts are notoriously inaccurate or outdated as it takes to get them prepped and printed. Probably made a couple of weeks ago. It really is zero indication as to DJ's status.
