JMo and Geoff Gandy are listing all the connections between La. Tech and Baylor. Sonja Hogg, football coaches, and Randy Robertson, because he owns a marketing firm here in town.

I guess they forgot Robertson's ex-wife, the most successful coach in Baylor history?

J-Mo wouldn't mention anything controversial if his sweater collection depended on it.

10 minutes later, somebody must have mentioned it, and they said "Oh, and..."

Yeah, nothing controversial about recognizing a probably hall of fame basketball coach that had success at Baylor. Just an oversight.

Gandy is either dyslexic or illiterate. I can't decide which but hearing him read off stats at halftime was excruciating.

Today's radio was awful. Gandy might be knowledgeable but he can't articulate it. They didn't have Jackson's mic on and never realized it. Amateur hour

Sounds like we need to bring this to the new AD's attention.

I had to listen for the first quarter or so before I was able to get to the TV. I didn't notice him being that bad, just still getting the feel for the job. I just got tired of hearing "LAH Tech" over and over again.

As a Tech grad, we have always hated the "LAH Tech" thing. No one in Ruston uses that phrasing. We just say Tech. While I realize national broadcasts aren't going to do that, it's still annoying to hear it repeatedly. If you're describing a game, it's pretty obvious which Tech you mean. If people think you're talking about Georgia Tech in the Baylor/Louisiana Tech broadcast, there's something bigger going wrong.

It does sound a bit demeaning. I realize it was probably fashionable broadcaster slang in the 70s, and I expect it to be heard now and then. But man, you don't have to repeat it 50 times per game.
