To my dismay, we still have a loser HC

I've never taken advantage of the BF Tent since we have a tailgate group we have been part of for many years. Is the complaint that the BF used to provide food in the BF Tent, but now provides a voucher to be used at the food trucks? So, the difference is in having to go through a line at the tent or walk to the food trucks and order what you want?

Also, how many people normally hang out at the BF Tent before a game? I should probably stop by some game day.

its honestly not a large amount that attend overall. Also the access to it is given to a very wide range of bbf donor levels including some who arent that high.

It's not like we are not giving "free food" to our $50k donors. You can give less than a grand a year and attend the tailgate for free. Again, it's free. Complaining that you dont get something for free via how u want it vs how they decided to do it this year is funny to me.

The food trucks were added for all. The BBF loses money catering those tailgates so they can now take advantage of the food truck presence. Its a smart move and gives more variety to your food options. And again.....FREE.

Most schools that have a similar type tailgate only allow those donating at much higher levels than what Baylor does. Just like our required donation levels for season tickets are extremely low ie: $25 per seat for about 50% of the stadium including a lot of the 100 level. And our ticket costs are very cheap compared to rest of big 1w overall.

Smart move imo by the BBF to stop paying for catered food and I dtead give you a voucher to choose from the various food trucks available for free

I can't give you an exact number of how many people go the the tent but it was usually full with many people with food looking for an empty seat. Also T-rex I went to a food truck and bought food for three people for around $25 and the voucher was good for $5 off the total price....so the vouchers are not for free food at the trucks. I also go to another tailgate most of the time but wanted to meet some other folks at the tent this game and they left when there was no food service.

sounds like you got a great $5 discount and a free tailgate to sit at under the shade, watch tv, listen to the pregame radio show, hang with others, and more. Free stuff sure is nice.

Geewiz, such a tone deaf take.

OP was just expressing his displeasure with the change. Who can blame him? For his donation and season tickets he now gets a $5 coupon instead of a meal. Sucky change imo.
Doesn't mean he doesn't understand that they're just trying to squeeze more pennies because food costs are insane. So, let him vent because it's not a great change.
