Oct. 17 features seven matchups of teams that were ranked in the AP poll last week. Though Florida's loss could remove its game from the ranks, Wisconsin-UCLA could end up being a Top 25 matchup.
- No. 5 Ohio State at No. 7 Indiana. This will be the first time Indiana has hosted a game between two teams ranked in the AP top 10.
- No. 3 Notre Dame at No. 8 BYU. This will be the first time BYU has hosted a game between two teams ranked in the AP top 10.
- No. 16 Florida at No. 1 Texas. Two weeks ago, this looked like a co-headliner with Ohio State-Indiana. Never mind.
- No. 17 Mississippi State at No. 10 LSU. Both teams are coming off a loss in their last game, though Mississippi State at least got Week 6 off.
- No. 6 Alabama at No. 15 Tennessee. The Vols have won each of the past two meetings in Knoxville after a long rivalry losing streak.
- No. 14 Missouri at No. 9 Ole Miss. Ole Miss transfer Austin Simmons has thrown 14 TDs and just one INT for Missouri.
- No. 18 Oklahoma State at No. 22 Houston. The winner will emerge as a serious contender to get to the Big 12 title game.
I think OSU beats Indiana.
I'd be surprised if BYU can beat Notre Dame.
Florida has been exposed over the last few weeks.
Hoping Mississppi State can beat the Fighting Kiffins.
Always hope for an Alabama loss.
Missouri is flying under the radar. Beating Ole Miss on the road will be the end of that.
Oklahoma State has two tests: this and Tech. I can see them beating Houston.
