We'll see how long it lasts seeing as how Tarleton is aggy little brother in their system. Aggy in Malfunction Junction may not want him around.

BT needs to start being very careful about who she picks on. I think shes getting to greedy and will eventually go up against someone that is connected in all the right ways.

They might need to bring in a defensive coach. Cannot beat Commerce in a track meet.

Is Tarleton even D2? They were barely D3 when I lived in Stephenville and worked for Tarleton in the late 1990s.

They moved up to D2. Our former receiver coach went from GA to attempting to make the likes of KD Cannon a pro.

CMR could have done the next best thing and offered Sterling Gilbert the OC job and we could have kept the old Baylor offense. Sterling Gilbert learned it from CAB at U of H when CAB was there. Gilbert is the OC at USF now. They won nine or ten games last year. ITS NOT TO LATE. Maybe next year.

I know you said this in jest but the Lonestar Conference is actually a pretty fun conference. It serves the surrounding towns of the mid-sized cities (San Angelo, Abilene, Witchita Falls) very well and adds some good football in smaller towns that may not have the money to go to a A&M, Tech, or UT game consistently.

I've seen a lot of solid D2 football Stephenville, San Angelo, and Abilene. And I would add that the quality of football from schools like McMurry, Howard Payne and Sul Ross are pretty big step down from the LSC.

LOL at "Why are y'all so desperate to run that mess?" That mess, as you call it, won games at a prodigious rate.

Additionally...

1. Briles' offense ran plenty. It is a myth that it was a passing offense.
2. The point is to win games, not to have a "better defense" (or a better offense). You do that with a total system that, by whatever means, that scores more points than your opponents. You don't need to slow down anything. Once rolling, Briles' system won a very high rate and showed no real signs of slowing down. I think Rhule will win, though probably not at that same rate simply because almost no one wins at that rate.
