I've been Pro-Rhule. I'm no longer willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I am not anti-Rhule now, but I seriously question whether he's the guy for this job.
Almost every aspect of this game today has been a major disappointment. Burning timeouts. Scrambling for snaps unprepared because plays aren't called in. Defensive players caught mid-shift as Duke snaps the ball. Dropped passes. Fumbles. Linebackers playing like it's flag football. STUPID penalties.
Even the Baylor stadium production is sorry. Down and distance indicator is frequently wrong. The timeout events are tired. Nobody cares about watching little kids who are scared to death driving mini-cars that don't work. The "catch a punt for cash" promo is an embarrassment. The band is lifeless. And small. The Baylor Line was 1/3 full before halftime.
McLane was built during a time when fans could come and expect to see something special every week. Fans won't come (or stay) to see lifeless, sloppy, turn-over ridden confusion.. I hate to say it. Baylor football is in big trouble.
The brand has gone from "America's Top Offense" to "Losing Football that is Boring to Watch".
It's been a heck of a free fall
Actually, it was pretty exciting. Didn't you hear the announcers cheering and yelling during all the explosive Duke plays?
By the way, let's take some time to calculate the Toxic Ratio, or whatever stupid crap they call it. Okay, the calculator is calculating......
9,494,302 pounds of Toxic Waste! Yes, with a capital T and W!
