I was very disappointed in 1-11 last season but was willing to give Fhule et al one more shot. I am now convinced this staff does not have what it takes to be successful in the Big 12 and don't expect to attend any more Baylor games in next several seasons.

True. Life is too short to watch unwatchable football.

This Team is not ready to play P5 football.
Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Remember when rhule did the interview during the bowl game against Boise state? He said he was bribing defense to the big twelve. I thought that was incredibly stupid then. And even more so joe that he hadn't done so. Even a little bit.

It is still shocking to me how quickly we became scary bad. I figured it would take a few years. This is the path Baylor has chosen and there is really nothing we can do about it.

I agree it should be clear to all now that this staff has to go.

If we lose today, it will be a 4-18 record since the Wall Street Journal spiel on October 28, 2016. We have had only one Power 5 win throughout this time (Kansas), and losses to Liberty and UTSA.

I had hope, but after watching this first half... I don't see another win on the schedule. I guess Admin will claim going from 1 to 2 wins is progress.

That comment along with a few other let me know he knew absolutely nothing about this conference. He bought into the notion that we just threw the 9 route all game instead of taking note that we ran the ball quite well and had the offensive lineman draft picks to prove it

For two years the regents got us wrapped up in one of the biggest scandals in modern college football....yet no matter how much criticism NOT one of them resigned.

You really think they care enough now to care what you think about Rhule?

He will be our coach until he decides to leave....wins and not important to the ruling class at Baylor

I've been Pro-Rhule. I'm no longer willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I am not anti-Rhule now, but I seriously question whether he's the guy for this job.

Almost every aspect of this game today has been a major disappointment. Burning timeouts. Scrambling for snaps unprepared because plays aren't called in. Defensive players caught mid-shift as Duke snaps the ball. Dropped passes. Fumbles. Linebackers playing like it's flag football. STUPID penalties.

Even the Baylor stadium production is sorry. Down and distance indicator is frequently wrong. The timeout events are tired. Nobody cares about watching little kids who are scared to death driving mini-cars that don't work. The "catch a punt for cash" promo is an embarrassment. The band is lifeless. And small. The Baylor Line was 1/3 full before halftime.

McLane was built during a time when fans could come and expect to see something special every week. Fans won't come (or stay) to see lifeless, sloppy, turn-over ridden confusion.. I hate to say it. Baylor football is in big trouble.

Yup. He is like so many others who bought the no defense in the big 12 but ignores the fact that other leagues give up huge numbers of yards and points when they play good big 12 teams, or that other leagues are moving to higher and higher scoring games as well.

Agree. If we lose today, I see beating Kansas as a challenge. We will not beat anyone else. I was hoping for at least 4 wins this year with an optimistic 6. I am afraid we won't see 3.

Rhule has this year and next to get us to a bowl. If we aren't bowling, I would expect a change.

I am ever hopeful but we should not accept poor performance. We know how it feels to win.

In game production has always been lame. The little tyke truck race, helmet shuffle, boat race and football catch have always been inane. You just didn't notice because we were winning.

It's still about the the game. Win and it's not as hot in the stadium, the Dr. Pepper is tastier, the band sounds better, the cheer leaders are prettier and the administration is smarter.

Just that simple.

So many saying the critics of Rhule don't know anything and we need to Trust the Process. This is a complete flat out embarrassing team in all phases. Horrible play calling, management of TO, dropped balls, special teams, porous defense, etc. We are not better than last year by any means. I don't give a rip if we beat 2 high school teams that anyone can and should beat. Rhule is in way over his head in the Big 12. You have to run up tempo to keep up and be competitive. This defense will get Eaten alive in Big 12. Expect the good offenses to put up 60 points easily. Rhule promised a Bowl game. KU will come in and beat our ass if this team shows up. They beat Rutgers 55-14 today. This is just sad.

I'm gonna savor those two wins because unless some MAJOR improvement happens, we will lose the remainder of our games. We may play some people close, but close ain't winning.

I am sick of seeing crappy coaching and half-hearted effort, likely due to poor coaching.

As much of a villain as Briles was or the BOR made him out to be, at least his plays provided sparks and motivation for players. If I was playing for Rhule, about the only thing I would be playing for is my NFL resume, not for a W.

Exactly. The dude doesn't even know how to call a timeout or a play or how to put the best QB on the field for a chance at winning.

I'm guessing he may not even know how to button a shirt, which is why he has that goofy bowling/ping-pong shirt.

Do players even like playing for this guy?

As poor as it was, this defense isn't even as good as it appeared to be today. If Duke had their starter at QB, this would have been much worse, as their backup wasn't much of a passer. Things will get very ugly when BU sees OU, TCU, OSU and WVU

Actually, it was pretty exciting. Didn't you hear the announcers cheering and yelling during all the explosive Duke plays?

By the way, let's take some time to calculate the Toxic Ratio, or whatever stupid crap they call it. Okay, the calculator is calculating......

And every year we lose, the easier it gets to accept losing and the more difficult it becomes to win again. Barney knew what he was talking about.

That was half-hearted effort today. We were ill-prepared to pick up their DL line stunts, dropped passes, stupid penalties, piss-poor special teams. It looked like a Guy Mo team, a few good plays/drives here and there, but overall not competitive.

Perhaps this was mentioned elsewhere, but watching the replay now and the Fox play by play analysts said we played exactly like we practiced this week.

Sloppy effort, lots of dropped passes....The color commentary said we played like we practiced, and it just carried over into the game.

That should concern everyone - if true.
