See man I don't see it that way. I get what your saying, but not every game is BAMA/AUBURN. Its like remember the SWC showcase games on Saturdays back in the day? I mean, watching Earl get 30 touches in the afternoon, and seeing Mark McBath sling it down the sidelines to Donnie Little was cool to me. McBath was the biggest thing that I ever saw growing up in Corpus Christi, TX as a kid besides my mom cutting Farrah Fawcett's hair when she was in high school. Then on the other side you saw James Hadnot taking to the house or Tommy Kramer getting one past Lester Hayes. By the way these young guys don't know what's it was like having a tear-away keep you in a play.
Its not about the score or the bookie or the highest rated teams playing. Football is football. Some people didn't like it, some people it meant a lot. Remember X we were these two team only 10 years a ago. For us, it was 2 guys who share the same philosophy in O, and seeing them coach against each other was fun. We didn't stay the whole game, but it was fun. So for me taking my wife to the game last night was fun for us. I could care less about who won. They are not my team, nor am I a gambling man. I just enjoyed watching a young coach who I do like, who's wife my wife really likes and is who is trying to make a name for himself in life. Right or wrong on how you feel about what did or didn't happen. We have ALL made mistakes. Regardless of how you feel, and I feel confident you probably know how I feel. I still like Jackie Sherrill, and matter of fact I hadn't seen him since 1985, but I ran into him at my teammate from high schools funeral in Chris Dausin, and he remembered me. I guess I am a purist. I love the game. I am not obsessed, but a game is a game. That offense IS FAR from a BUICK. It put us on the map, and I am thankful for the wins we had, The trophy that RG3 won and the 2 championships.

Texas Tech's defense is a Buick Lesabre. Somewhat reliable with little curb appeal. It's been dozen or so years since Tech fans were chatting up there defense.
Old Mississippi cut them up.

The Briles offense is pretty good. It has it's strength and weaknesses. Uh play calling hasn't been proven to be better than Tulsa's play calling. I would beg to differ.

I m going to see one of Sherill's lettermen later. I bet he ll agree that Tulsa could have used a few more Dennis Byrd types Thursday night. Tulsa abandoned building a program built on defense after Keith Burns was the head coach.
