It's July so I am saying 10-3. We win the bowl game.

It's unreasonable to predict a bowl outcome without seeing the body of work for each team, assessing the injuries, and/or evaluating any coaching change.

8 regular season wins is the prediction according to FPI and S&P, and I would be inclined to agree. There is too much uncertainty and potential for big seasons between Baylor, ISU, TCU, and Oklahoma State in order to make a lot of assumptions there. Could Baylor exceed that? Sure, but it's hard to say something like 9 wins are the floor.

For some perspective here, TCU won 7 games last year with virtually no offense, ISU had its second season of its first back to back 8 win seasons in history, and Oklahoma State went 4-1 against ranked teams even though it lost to 5 unranked teams while fielding a 1 year starter at QB.

9-3 regular season finish. All the toughest games are at home. Gotta take advantage of this year's schedule because next year the bears have some tough road trips.

My expectations for 2019 are for a better year than they had in 2018; better than 7 wins overall and better than 4 wins in conference.
I'm not quite as dumb as I seem

6-6 regular season. End up 7-6 as Texas Bowl repeat champions.

Pretty realistic breakdown. I say between 8 and 9 regular season wins with a decent bowl win.

9 wins or bust. We get the top 3 teams in the conference at home. At some point we have to wins some games were not suppose to win (or at least beat some teams with a winning record)

Also look at the new coaches in the league. Most play similar style to Rhule, so in theory we have a head start as we have his type of players, the other teams dont necessarily have those players outside of maybe K-State new coach (who defiintely has winning pedigree coming from North Dakota State).

So predicting a winning season and a bowl win is being a troll? You are sure a strange one. Or a shill.

So predicting a winning season and a bowl win is not a good thing? You should check in with your bosses and get back to me.

8-4 regular season. Bowl game depends on who we draw and the game we draw -- though a win (9-4) is preferred.

A bowl win with a 7-5 season (making things 8-5 after the bowl game) would meet expectations as well. A bowl loss with a 7-5 mark (making things 7-6) ... would not.

8-5 including a bowl win. Good improvement. Continues the climb back to where Baylor was briefly.

Correction. We beat Alabama 56-0, because we don't miss an extra point and we don't settle for field goals.

Cost of ticket not worth the entertainment value...

No more than 4 scores over 60 yards in the season

No more than 2 scores in less than 2 minutes on the clock for the season

No more averaging more than 45 points per game on the season

No more average winning score of 20 or more points per game.

No more 61-58 thrillers

Keeping the streak against OU, UT, and TCU alive, going into season from 0-12 to ending season at 0-15 against these three schools.

No more putting in third or fourth string in at end of third quarter.

It sounds like you missed quite a few exciting games last season. Most Baylor fans are excited to see this program rise from the ashes of all the mess that happened.

8-17 after two seasons. Two of the wins are against Kansas.

I am not quite ready to put us back into the world-beater category just yet either.

Pay attention to what?

All I know is what I see. And I see 'em all.

But...I'm no sunshine pumper. To date, this staff has yet to convince me they can do it.

Who says we are? It took Briles until his 4th season to get a bowl win. He got naked bootlegged in the first bowl he got to with Baylor.

We're not world beaters yet and have a lot to prove, but the progress is there.

The progress of last year, the bowl win, the coaches interviews, the player interviews, the work the post on social media, how the players feel, practice reports, scrimmage reports, post-game analysis, etc. You'd have to be blind to not see the big steps the program took last year. Not perfect, and a ton of room to keep on improving and getting better, like every other team in the NCAA.

Yeah.....social media posts and interviews are critical to having a good football program

When they contain quite a bit of information on the direction of the program, they are quite helpful.
