... but this time of his own volition. I wonder what's up with him -- was doing reasonably well as a role-playing receiver/practice squad member with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (11 rec/149 yds in 4 games this season):

KD Cannon was labeled as a rapist along with all of his other 2016 teammates. I feel sorry for him. Great athlete that had the rug pulled out from under him. Hope he is successful gong forward, with or without football.

He has an attitude problem unfortunately. Doesn't matter who his coach was, but he could have done well to stay another year before he got bad advice to leave BU.

still remember his dumb move when he face masked that Michigan State DB in the last yards causing us the game. stupid move. He was ahead and actually slowed down to make contact. Idiot. They walked back a 50 yard plus touchdown because of that crap.

Do you ever go back and read what you post?

Seriously!

ALL of his 2016 teammates?

Rug pulled out from under him?

Good God Almighty! It has got to be Donald Trump's fault.

Get on the TLU bandwagon. Now!

Your memory is a little off. That was Corey Coleman, the play was 32 yards, and the defender was right on him - had him by the jersey on the back of the neck and Coleman was trying to break free of the tackle. There was no slowing down. The long touchdown that got called back was on an 85 yard pick six by Taylor Young that got called back because of a block in the back by Andrew Billings.

So you are saying the kid is mentally soft. You should give him more credit than that.

I wish him well and he was a great player for Baylor but it was not smart to leave after his junior season. He could have been a high draft pick had he stayed.

Dude was grossly overrated, possessed zero intangibles and had a low IQ.

The guy had an NFL chance at a roster spot but refused to completely run a drill out in mini camp and displayed a poor attitude on Day 1. He was bounced on Day 1 of his rookie mini camp.

He best be a great rapper because child support is going to eat him up (unless one of our alumni get douped into paying it). Three kids, no degree....

So he has a year of eligibility left and then can get the degree....

Fortunately you dont have a clue what these kids go through.

Lets say a goofy OK lawyer with no parents to speak of, powerful coaches telling everyone you are the best thing on earth, then having go through a transition that would that absolutely trashes your low esteem, who do you listen to?

Would you be angry and sanctimonious?

You are such a loser. I feel sorry for the poor kid. Baylor really let him down.

Next time you ostracize a young man that grows up in an environment you have no clue about, put yourself in his shoes.

Dude, you must have not been around minorities at all. Let's assume he is white for argument.

He had every opportunity possible to succeed.
How did Baylor let him down? He listened to the former regime tell him things that were not accurate.

We don't know his Wonderlic score. We don't know what he said in his NFL interviews (brutal interviews). We don't know why he refused to run the drill after being told how to complete it.

Who coached him not to follow instructions?

How many undrafted free agents blow their chance because of insubordination on the first drill of rookie mini camp after receiving a team's top signing bonus for an undrafted free agent?

Not angry, just tired of reading nonsense about how it was Baylor's fault. He should have stuck around and learned how to run routes and prepare himself for the NFL. At least 80 percent of NFL rosters grew up under difficult circumstances. Most all know to run the drill in rookie mini camp like they are told.

He should blame the former regime for not preparing him. Our WR coaches weren't very good.

Evidence suggests he left early to avoid the embarrassment of academic ineligibility, his grades were about to catch up to him.

Sounds like maybe he was trying to get out before the new guys swept him out along with others. Hope he catches on soon somewhere else.

It's hard to process facts that don't line up with a pre-existing, drum beat, dead horse narrative.

Thank you.

Some of the things posted on this free board are crazy. Baylor gives a guy a chance at a free education and the school does him wrong? Lot of bad posts on the free board.

These CABERS love to trash their opponents like Kaz did Herbie then go into the fetal position when things do not go as planned.

Cannon should blame his junior high, high school and college coaches for not instilling him the discipline to understand he better damn well run out that drill like the others.

That's the best explanation for things I've seen/read thus far. Seems like he has an "in" to return to the CFL if that is his desire.

Question is, is it?

Well documented why he was cut by the 49ers. No speculation. It was a 3 day mini camp. He made it one day.
