I pray those guys have gotten some good financial advice and won't fall prey to squandering their earnings like so many before them. Please, please, please God, give them wisdom to invest and spend wisely. Amen.

Though what someone else makes for a living, athlete or not, is none of my darned business, yet SINCE this is published, how can the 4 year + bonus $$$ on Max Muncy be as low as it is.

Maybe I just don't know what "4 year + bonus" means in this case.

They don't get paid an MLB salary until they make a MLB roster (even then its the lower rookie contract and depends on how much time they spend in the majors), but highly drafted players get a signing bonus when they are drafted (whether they ever make it the the majors or not).

MAX MUNCY
2012 - $240,000 - Signing bonus as the #169 pick overall (5th round)
2013 - NO MLB
2014 - NO MLB
2015 - $105,382 (A's)
2016 - $507,500 (A's)
2017 - NO MLB
2018 - $489,310 (Dodgers)
2019 - $575,000 (Dodgers)
-----------------------------------------------------
2020 - $5,500,000 (Dodgers)
2021 - $7,500,000 (Dodgers)
2022 - $11,500,000 (Dodgers)
2023 - $1,500,000 (Dodgers)
