Will people still travel to Waco on game days?

With the restrictions on how many people can sit in the stadium, I was wondering if folks will still travel to Waco for the games, then set up TVs in the parking lot and watch the game that way.
Is that on the horizon, or will everyone opt to watch at home?

Curious.

Is tailgating even allowed? I doubt alot of people will be travelling to Waco just because Baylor is playing when they dont have a ticket.

I was thinking it was more about "being there" or the camaraderie.
You (we?) could gather at any vacant lot and set up a TV.
Just thinking out loud, guys.
I am going to miss game day in Waco......badly.

I have purchased tickets to one game this year after rolling my season ticket cost to 2021. My group of friends with whom we tailgate with near the law school will not be doing so this year. It's my understanding that the Sic'em365 tailgate will still be on, so that may be an option. If the game is a night game we will spend the night in Waco. If a day game, we will probably just go up and back. It will be interesting to see just how things work out in the early games

We'll be tailgating across the street and enjoying ourselves.

Yes, we are on and it is an option. Food, drink, TVs, at Brazos Parking.

Right now, I have a ticket for one game: TCU. If I am able to get tickets for other games I will attend and I have a couple friends who probably would join me if possible. But I don't expect we will be able to as the tickets will be too expensive for our tastes.

I am still hoping for a breakthrough on the COVID-19 front allowing them to open the stadium more fully and therefore making the tickets more accessible. I realize this is probably a pipe dream, but it is possible. Who knows? There might be a miracle cure announced on November 4!

I have tickets to just TCU also. I'm too paranoid to get on a plane now, so the wife and I are going to road trip the 1500 miles from SoCal.

I hope I see you there! Although unlikely, it should be an interesting game.

Have a safe trip.

John Hawk.............I have flown on 5 trips since March including the month of March. Planes are usually half full at best and clean as a whistle. I am so baffled why everyone is afraid to fly. Just got off of a flight yesterday. BTW, my trips have included going through DFW, Denver and O' Hare on numerous occasions. Now if you are 90 years old that is another story but aside from that I just don't get the paranoia re flying.

I've flown 3 times. 2 times from Love field on southwest to KC & DC and once from DFW to Florida, a huge hotbed, on spirit.....fiancee wanted to do that which at the time was cheaper but by the time we flew, i had companion pass for SW and spirit has a terrible refund policy. 1st and last time i ever fly that 3rd world airline.

No concerns on any of those round trip flights. SW and some others dont sell the middle seat and make you stay seperated unless flying together. spirit flight was full both ways which i guess when they are so ****ty as is, they dont care. I did almost get puked on tho on the way to florida...... was in the bathroom on the plane when someone pounded on my door then I heard a ton of liquid hit the floor. assumed a dropped drink tray. nope....i quickly smelt it under the door. passenger got sick and puked all over the floor, wall, seat, ect outside the bathroom i was in. had to wait until they cleaned up at least enough for me to open my door and then had to step over it all. **** spirit lol

moral of the story, dont be afraid to fly. if you arent afraid to go shopping at the store or eat out right now, no reason to be afraid of flying. I have 2 more flights for personal trips planned to KC this fall as well as a flight for WVU, Tech, & ISU games. wear your stupid mask that they require and you will be fine....just like you would be otherwise

Planes are probably one of the safest places now ..just returned from Breckenridge last week on a bday trip...and this is coming from someone who had the virus couple months ago.

The filters in the cabins block 99% of the patticles in the air..Cruise ships..thats another story..those are floating petri dishes of diseases.

I'm going to 2 of the 5 games at McLane Stadium. I hope plenty of other Baylor fans do so as well. It won't be as loud and rowdy as usual, but we should be able to make our presence felt and give our team strong support. While not expecting it to happen, I still dream of attending all 5.

I got tickets to all 5. I can't wait! But I am curious about what the atmosphere will be with all the empty seats. I am hoping they'll release more tickets for later games as Covid wanes.

Sic 'em!

Dude. Nobody's getting sick from this on planes. A million people a day are flying all over the US and yet nothing is happening.

I respect your personal choice though
