They are probably the same people who think USC, Texas, & ND are blue bloods. At least Texas has a natty 16 years ago & ND was in the playoffs recently. It just illustrates the fact that a "blue blood" is a program with history & tradition. It also clearly demonstrates that this label means nothing unless the program has recent accomplishments like Bama, Clemson, OSU, & LSU. There aren't many of them. Michigan? Nope. Texas? Don't make me laugh. Georgia & OU? Arguably. At least they have been in the playoffs. Is that enough? Good question. Maybe it depends on how many times or if they made it past the semis (sorry Sooners).
