i shouldn't assume there will be handicap spaces there. Mclane doesn't have them in the stadium lots. I'd bet handicap parking will be at the Ferrel and you can take the shuttle just like handicap parks at the BRIC for football

Same with the garage over by the old bank building with the Baylor logo on the top on at Washington and 8th.

I'm still not going to a Waco restaurant (which is the only reason for me to go downtown) and parking and walking anything like 6 or 3 or 2 blocks to dinner. I want out of the AC in my car directly into the AC in your restaurant. Maybe it's time for valets. Tourists are another matter.

the idea that having ti walk a little bit is the reason you refuse to visit an area is anti progress which is exactly the opposite of what we need in Waco. 6 blocks ain't a long walk

If they were going to demolish the tower, they should have done so before building the arena and parking garage.

There is only 30 feet between the tower and the arena, so demolishing the tower is going to cause some damage to the surrounding areas, including the arena.

If Baylor had no more use for the tower, could it not be converted into a hotel? High visibility. Access to everything. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking on most days.

The Clifton Robinson tower, which was formerly a bank tower, is not a good building (I.e., it doesn't have good bones). But Clifton Robinson apparently rejected the idea of taking it down. Additionally while several offices will be moving to the Howdy Hut, there are still too many other administrative offices that still need that space. And so the eyesore will remain.

and I bet a lot of those "administrators " could be eliminated

The adaptive reuse project to preserve a historic church by converting to a restaurant and venue still has life. 2nd and Clay is about 85 yards from the pavilion site/parking garage.
