My car is due for inspection but the place I've been using forever is temporarily shut down (Kwicker Sticker); where else is there to go in the Waco area? I'm at a loss trying to find another place.

Not sure; he's just had a sheet of paper taped up in the window the past 2 days saying there is some statewide shutdown so he's closed. Haven't found anything official on the shutdown online or anywhere.BaylorHistory said:MrGolfguy said:

Don't know why, but I've always viewed getting that annual inspection to be a PITA.Bexar Pitts said:
This last State legislature passed a new law that does away with annual inspections..However, you'll still be charged a fee in like amount when you renew your plates..How crazy is that? It doesn't go into effect, however, until 2025.
It is somewhat a pain, but for some who don't know squat about automobiles, its a chance to make sure their vehicle is safe and road worthy...small inconvenience for that information..This obviously assumes the inspector is honest in the assessment...as I believe the vast majority are..Volunteer said:Don't know why, but I've always viewed getting that annual inspection to be a PITA.Bexar Pitts said:

I've used Chris Hilliard's Just Stickers in the 400 block of West Waco drive for a number of years with several vehicles per year.
Chris' crew (usually two ladies) has always been fast and courteous, but then I ensure my vehicles are in good shape before I ever go down there.
Inspection is an inconvenience, but I have to admit that having to check out the simple things on my vehicles (and those of my relatives) prior to taking them in for an inspection has alerted me to things I might not otherwise have caught.
I pulled in there a month or two ago. They were busy (2 in front of me and one behind), but the dude was nearly rubber-stamping inspections. No blinker, brights, brake, tire, etc. check. Nothing. They made sure my insurance was clear and processed me out quickly.Limited IQ Redneck in PU said:
I went to the Valvoline Center 619 Hewitt Drive.. I really didnt think the temp clunker would pass but ten minutes later I had the passed paperwork and a coupon for a free drive through car wash right across the street. No waiting on a Sunday afternoon.
