I fondly remember the HEBarrio on 12th street back in the day. What a multicultural experience!

Did this fall through? We are across the street at the library and it looks like they are trying to lease the small bits next door, but nothing is happening in the main area...

There are retail spaces that are being developed. They part of the building. That is also part of the plan. I think people are working on it almost every week day. A big sky light was just installed on top of the main grocery building this spring I believe.

Ok, I was wondering about the additional retail since their parking lot seems pretty small.... Toasted yolk takes up their parking lot and most of the library every time we visit so I'm wondering what they are going to do... I barely see enough for employee parking...

The parking makes no sense and I don't know how a that parking was big enough for the relatively small HEB (by today's standards) that it once was back in the 50s and 60s era frankly.

They had to use that second lot across the street and the parking situation eventually forced them to to move to where the Antioch building is now

My point being really is that Castle Heights is a fairly upscale neighborhood in town.

Lots of Old Waco Money in Castle Heights.

Waco money be like the poors in some cities.

The parking area was landscaped with large Spanish dagger trees and palm trees today or yesterday.
