Where do you get custom dress shirts in Waco or Dallas?

I struggle to get dress shirts that fit me. This has been true since I was in high school. To get a shirt to fit my neck it looks like I am wearing a poncho. I have done custom shirts through Men's Warehouse and Jos A Banks, but my experience has been less than desirable. Today, I drove from Waco to the Arboretum in Austin to
pick up a custom shirt. I could have gotten one off the rack that fit about as well. The length of the arms was right, but they had twice as much fabric as needed. The tail of the shirt was almost to my knees, and I would need to gain about 100 pounds to fill it out. Also there was a small stain or burn on the sleeve. They got out the straight pins and said they could fix the stain. I have to go back again. With my past experience it will probably take two more trips before I actually get a dress shirt that fits. With travel expenses this shirt is going to cost me at least $300 and a ridiculous amount of time.

There is a J. Hilburn on Austin Ave. that does custom shirts, etc.

Former Bu Letterman, Rick Vella, has a custom clothier service as well. He will come to you, has access to name brand mfgs for suits, ties etc. Rick provides a great service with great value, in my experience.

There is a custom guy in Waco also. Reyna Clothiers. I think he has a new store downtown.

Is this the Rick that had Rick's Men's Clothing store in the 80's.

Good to hear he is doing well. My dad spent a lot of money with him when he had his store in the 80s and beyond. I spent a fair amount as a college kid in the 80's as well.

My dad became very good friends with Rick. He was a sounding board for him in regards to business and life.
