Anyone love their Waco remodel?

Doing simple remodel, current tub & tile shower to walk-in shower perhaps with stone panels, new cabinets & lighting. Basic remodel.

I've done three bathrooms in our prior waco home and can't bring myself to call either of the contractors used prior.

You'll spend a pretty penny but be happy with the work if you go with Palmer Davis.

If you are looking for one more option, Jeremias Trejo has done a good bit of work for me and my parents. He took some time off to try a different trade but is back to contracting and has a crew. 254-733-3017. He can do anything, and his work is great. And, his prices are way too low.

I would recommend him for anything house related as long as he says he's willing to do it. He has remodeled my kitchen, put in an 8ft fence (he said that's the last fence he's doing, even though it looks great), painted, and done various drywall for me. He can do windows, roofing, and build an entire house if you want.

Ah yes, that's a common condition among those who have had the 'pleasure' of using contractors who do a job knowing that there's no threat of losing future business if things are under quality, over estimate, or don't get done in a timely manner.

I have a few friends who decided to build a new home for themselves and be their own general contractor. I'm afraid they routinely harbored homicidal thoughts about their subs.

Had Mike do some work for me. I am very pleased with the results.

Thanks for feedback! I currently have new fence getting installed (got quotes from those recommended here) and moving on to bathroom next.

subs will do what they can frt away with.. subs love straight to customer retail because they do what they want and the home owner doesnt understand the process. If your tile guy does a tub or shower surround in one day, its wrong, especially showers. Showers can take as much as a week when done right.

We are about to start a remodel on a 5 year old house that the shower has failed and created a ton of water damage

So true, which is why I rarely sub anything out.

If I do use any, it is someone that I know well and have worked with before.

I prefer to not spend half my time trying to figure out where they are, why they didn't show up, or why they aren't doing things the way they need to be done. And then there is always the running out of money on their end once they get knee deep.

There's a few builders in Waco that are down right fraudulent with obvious bad builds. The 5 year old house problem doesn't surprise me.

We used them and were not happy with them at all. Problem after problem with them and a few of their subs.
