My youngest son is looking for an Accounting internship in Waco.

He's finishing his junior year at Tarleton State (based here in Waco). While it's a good program for locals, it doesn't offer any support for obtaining internships.

He currently is working at Dutch Bros, but he's willing to work any hours that someone has available to get his foot in the door.

He's a smart kid (nearly 4.0). He's hard working and willing to learn anything Accounting related. He's engaged to be married this December. His fianc is graduating from Baylor with a Social Work degree this May.

TIA and Sic'em!

He could try Centex Bookkeeping in Waco. CEO is a Baylor grad and I'm sure they've always got some accounting cleanup projects he could get experience with.

Cornerstone Caregiving in Waco - same thing.

Thanks! Forza actually reached out via PM. My son submitted his resume and cover letter to them.

So Tarleton has an extension where you can get an accounting degree in Waco? I didn't realize that. More and more competition amongst colleges for a shrinking pool of students.

It is a good program. We have hired several from there with good results. If you're going to do a CPA you have to have 150 hours and we have also had some Baylor undergrads finish their accounting hours there.
