Thank you for the summary. I had heard about the tree and some sort of reference to the stabbing. I didn't know the story though. Of course there are two sides to every story sometimes maybe even more than 2 sides. I would add that if those Facebook posts mentioned here are correct, things are not as cut and dry about it as many think as far as the fight between the Moreoso's owner and the Dicampli owner. Although the cutting up the tree is a weird response if all Hemingway's did was not wait for enough time to pass to be funny about it on a chalk board outside. For one it is highly probable that the tree belongs to the owner of the building and not the owner of Hemingway's, who I assume is just another tenant.
