Rising prices, shrinking portions

I've finally hit my breaking point. A basic "meal deal" anywhere is 13.00, 15.00 with tax and tip (yep they all want a buck). Have you tried QDoba? Think chipotle, but smaller bowl. I had no meat. When I asked for black beans, double portion, you would have thought I was asking for gold. Black beans are 1.29 per can!

I am going to take my lunch to work a couple of days a week. Bought a 16.00 lunch box, and I'm ready to go.
I will enjoy lunch for about 4.00 instead of 15.00. There is a breaking point!

qdoba is always better than Chipotle. Way more options, doesn't lie to you about always having local organic sourced stuff, and I've never had an issue with portions. But Idk if I've ever been to Waco location.

Waco doesn't have a Qdoba, unless I've missed something.

Tangentially, I picked up some Freebirds a month or so ago and it was absolutely terrible. Did they change hands and lower the quality of their food or was it just that nostalgia failed me?
Noooo evidence for that, babeeyyy, just maaade it up.

Freebirds was purchased by Sun Holdings. Took away the sauce bar among other changes. I will say that I like their keto tortilla which is the main reason I eat there occasionally.

Salad and Go is a healthy, less expensive option. You can get a wrap or salad for less than $10.

I've been here in this mentality for 3-4 years. No fun to go out anymore when you get so little paying for so much.

Only George's hasn't really raised their prices, because they make so much on alcohol.

The Frozen Strawberry Lemonade after a run in the summertime is an absolute banger.

Once again, I'm amazed that people are complaining about portion sizes at restaurants in the USA. How much do you people eat in a day where that is a concern?
