Former Baylor Soccer Coach Paul Jobson reached out and put this on my radar:

Waco is getting a USL2 Soccer Club

Paul is the General Manager of the new outfit it appears, and they are taking a fan vote on team brand and logo.

SOCCER IS COMING IN 2027!
We're excited to introduce Waco USL2, a brand-new soccer club set to kick off its inaugural season in the summer of 2027! And we want YOU to be part of building something special right here in Waco!
WHAT IS WACO USL2?
Waco will have its very own USL League Two club, bringing competitive soccer, affordable family entertainment, and new opportunities for the community to come together!
Our goal is to build more than just a soccer team. We want to create a club that represents the people and pride of Waco while connecting with local businesses, families, youth soccer players, and fans throughout Central Texas.
YOUR CITY. YOUR CLUB. YOUR VOTE!
Before we take the field in 2027, we need your help with one very important decision: choosing our official team name and logo!
This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to share more about what's coming in 2027!
Waco, let's build something special together!
