I don't know that any actual 5G has been deployed anywhere, except for gimmicky "stand here, use this exact hardware, and enable this protocol" type stuff.
The technology isn't really ready for prime time, and really requires an enterprise-wide commitment and infrastructure build out. Just putting a high wave transmitter on one antenna downtown and ramping up the signal doesn't really count, as far as most users are concerned.
The phrase "5G" got released too soon. Now, all the consumers are holding back their spend and decision making. Consequently, carriers are trying to tout it as quickly as possible - even when it literally does not exist.
