The Army Corps of Engineers created a new entry to the Bosque River. The scenic stretch runs 3.3 miles between the MCC dock and the Lake Waco dam outlet.

Looks gorgeous. Can't wait to get down there.

Drove up the Bosque before a football game last year. I was surprised how far you could make it by boat.

By the way, that's not my kid. I just forgot to include the Trib story:

Oops! I thought this was a new B&B listing on the website Kayak.com, maybe for Briles' old house.

Funny how my mind puts everything into digital/online categories. I gotta get out more.

That's a good trip...need to coordinate with water releases, though. Great fishing, too.

Yeah, was watching the trip from Glen Rose to Whitney as well. 3 hour.

Where is the easiest way to get to the entry point?

Whitney down to Dick's is a beautiful trip with a lot of very good fishing holes. Caught lots of great fish along that stretch. But if it's a hot day with no release from the dam and a south wind in your face ... it's a slog. If you like to fish, you're better off going up and down near the top or bottom and just fishing some holes.

If there is a solid release, the trip is nice and easy and enjoyable. We used to do it during a full moon during midnight releases. That's a blast.

The entry is at Bosque Park off Airport road near the Lake Waco dam.

Thanks, I had found that site but will it say on there in advance or do you just have to monitor the current conditions?

All you can do is monitor past activity and make a guess based on that, unless you can get ahold of someone at BRA or in the plant who can tell you more - nothing publicly available.
