I don't understand why this is the amount of time we take to find a good shot.

I hate draining the shot clock in that situation. You're up by a point with a 10 second differential between the shot and game clock. It's been taking TCU about five seconds to get to the rim most of the night. Just run your offense and get a good shot.

No true leader on this Team...MM could have been the guy in the Top League in the country....

We have a good mix of individual talent but not as a team.

Cryer - the worst defender in Baylor MBB history? Consistently flat footed last night as TCU drove by him. Managed to find his feet when he had the ball in his hand.

Flo - a good backup.

Josh - coming on and needs to fall as many minutes as possible.

Lohner - love his athleticism but no offense. Must develop a shot and become a better offensive rebounder with some easy put-backs.

Bridges - huge disappointment but if he can turn his offense around the Bears will be so much better.

Flager - a great shooter. Other parts of his game are pretty average to above average.

Cryer - a great shooter Not much more to his game on either end.

Bonner - a decent backup. That's it.

Love - I am guessing he would be playing more if he was physically ready.

George - one and down. An amazing player and by far the best on this team. Unselfish and talented.

Some really good talent there but a team this talent does not make. We lack athleticism, ability to attack the rim and we are not good defenders ( I think due to our lack of athleticism).

The refs screwed out of this game. TCU was able to travel and charge w/o getting called.

I know leadership is an often used quality teams of any kind need. To me it has never been more apparent than with this particular team. But that's OK, I imagine it's difficult to recruit any player and know whether or not their a leader. Those traits sometimes take a while to come to the surface. And one of the biggest leaders was Jerome Tang and we all know that story.

Couldn't agree more....Drew is struggling to find that next advisor during the game flow. It's like the 7 bench coaches just sat there last night. Why aren't they up sitting next to players and talking strategy, positioning, etc,?

The assistant coaches on my college team (before transferring to Baylor) immediately sat down and discussed my play, etc.

(sarcasm)

You obviously did not hear the tv announcer comment about how the B12 refs are the best in the league.

It was a poorly called game. if you won't let them play physical then you must call the Travel and Charges.

We let the #1 team in the Nation in transition kick out butts - No adjustments. in fact, we tried to press!

too many guys "watch" their shot...

I was blown away by the number of times we shot a three and TCU was able to beat us down the court in transition. I imagine we'll see improvement on this in upcoming games, but man howdy it was pretty obvious.

In basketball, your hardest running is saved for defensive transition. Gotta get back and get set or you're toast. We got toasted.

Just look at our positioning on 3 pt shots from the sides or baseline - We are exposed. Kudos to TCU for making the halftime adjustments....

17 point lead choked away

Largely due to Bigs in foul Trouble. But that's also on them.

Bigs in foul trouble is a direct result of our matador perimeter defense. Thamba is a step or 2 slow this year, but even Thamba from past years would have had no choice but to foul or give up the easy layup.

Flagler is a leader but in a quiet way so not as obvious. But yeah, would love to have MM on this team or KB if he knew his draft stock would have slid to the 2nd round.

Yep, that's a product of really bad team defense. Thamba can't guard guards. It's unfair that our perimeter players keep making him by not being able to stay in front of their man or make the appropriate switches.

Gonna say this again! With a 1 point lead you don't wait until 8 sec on the shot clock to execute a play. It worked out today but that was not a good shot at the end. If he misses then they had 20 sec to take a winning shot. This philosophy will bite us again at least twice this year in the big 12.

Our entire offense and by extension our entire program and recruiting philosohy is based around elite guards who can isolate on the perimeter and create their own shots.

Devil's advocate will say OU had 20 seconds to get off TWO shots at end and we finally stuck our foot in the ground so good on defense they couldn't even get off ONE shot in the final 20 seconds...best defensive stand of the year.

Yep - that was stellar defense at the end and it looked like our team defense from two seasons ago or even last season before the injuries started piling up. Don't know where that D has been for most of this season, but I'm hoping it's a sign the switch has been flipped and we're going to start looking more like our old selves going forward.
