Based on what he's said in interviews, returning this year is what has driven his rehab all along. That means more to him than another year of eligibility. I'm confident our staff won't put him out there unless he's fully ready. I didn't think he'd be back this year given the horrific nature of the injury so it would be nothing short of miraculous.

I didn't realize he had another year. I thought this was it.

It's not like he's gonna be an NBA player, so I thought he might make sure he maxed out his college time.

He's almost 24. It would matter to me to get on.

During the broadcast in Norman Saturday they showed a contraption he has to wear..it looks like a prosthetic leg..it's a brace and a bar that goes down into his shoe because he can't lift his big toe due to nerve damage.

Fully agreed

Probably a pipe dream, but wouldn't it be wild if he was able to return and provide some limited minutes during the post season.

Or even some regular season games.

I imagine Jonathan is chomping at the bit to get on the court, but I also imagine that Baylor has a pretty hefty insurance policy that helps pay for the expensive surgery and recovery. In order to keep that insurance, they have to follow medical guidelines. Once JTT is cleared, I expect Drew to get him in the game somehow. I hope its a home game!

Look up the definition of "what makes college sports great" and you'll find EJ. Guys like him, the pageantry, the unreasonable fandom, etc.

I saw an interview with Drew where he said EJ is practicing with the team and providing some physicality that is helping others get better.

My take on the above tweet....100% likelihood EJ won't be the same guy if he comes back this year, and perhaps never again in his career. But what he is contributing is inpiration for our other guys (e.g. culture of JOY) which can never be underestimated. Even if he is a shell of himself and plays 10 minutes per game, the added inspirational and cultural value can never be underestimated.
