Probably just keeping the ball in the seniors hands

Low production game. Even great freshman have games where they disappear. He will bounce back. He's a star!

I'm guessing he had just enough poor decisions and needless turnovers to earn bench time in the 2nd half.

Yep, and this game was a microcosm of Key's season. A few jaw-dropping flashes of brilliance where Fran says, "This is an NBA player" followed by stretches of sloppy, casual ballhandling, and blown defensive assignments. To his credit he didn't appear to be pouting on the bench he seemed to be cheering on his guys.He is a great kid and will figure it out, unfortunately it won't all come together for him in a Baylor uniform. Once he develops that "man strength" by his mid 20s he will be a force at the next level

19 freakin years old. At that age I was brain dead 6/7 days of the week. Drew has to play child psychologist with these one and dones. He will bounce back in a big and spectacular way.

Go with what is hot. He is great but he is still a freshman and freshmen turn the ball over especially on the road

I have to imagine Adam is a great role model for him. Adam doesn't have all the physical tools, but he is mentally tough as hell. You have to think KG sees that and hopefully can learn from it. All hands on deck for March. This team has a chance to cut down the nets if everybody stays healthy.

I appreciated he didn't shove it in the crowd's face when he willed us to a W. I probably would have lol

He is so damn clutch, not sure we have ever had a player I felt better about having the ball in his hands down the stretch. Butler was a better driver but Adam's shot is so pure and he just seems to have that killer instinct. Going to miss him next year.

Love's emergence is likely another reason Drew is ok sitting Keyonte for stretches. Not sure Drew does that a month ago. Langston is going to be pivotal these last 3 weeks and heading into post season play. Bench scoring had been a weakness but with him and JTT coming off the bench our bench production is slowly increasing.

Love's emergence gives us that 4 headed monster in the backcourt we enjoyed during our Natty run. We essentially upgraded our bench from bonner to Love, and EJ for a promising but raw Josh O.

Drew did it against UCLA and Kansas earlier in the year (I think those were the two games). Keyonte is a really talented kid who can be great when he's playing well and within the flow of the game. But Drew has had no problem rolling with the vets to close out games when Key wasn't doing those things.
