How's everyone feeling about tomm? Haven't watched a ton of KSU lately. A few things I'm interested in are how do we respond mentally to blowing a huge lead at kU? How do we try a guard Nowell and Johnson? And how's the game officiated ? I mention this because Johnson is prone to foul trouble particularly when he gets called for offensive fouls which he commits a ton of. Seems vanilla but getting Nowell uncomfortable is the key. He's a stud but he's also a TO machine. Find a way to limit him and Johnson and we should be in a good spot (easier said than done). Offensively take good shots and limit the live ball TOs that lead to easy KSU points.

i would expect keyontae johnson to spend a lot of time posting up in the paint and for state to guard the three point line. markquis nowell seemed to have move off the schneid last game with twenty. the octagon has been rockin' of late, so that's an obvious advantage. no hate in this game though, like with isu, ku and texas.

Yeah KSU creates a nice home court advantage when they're good! I expect a loud crowd tomm

I think KSU has a better crowd than ISU. Their students are brutal and relentless. On tv it appears that the Octagon gets way louder than Hilton. Admittedly haven't been to either, but they are both on the list. Maybe someone that had been to both has a different opinion?

I'd rate them 1) KU 2) ISU 3) KSU 4) Tech as far as away atmospheres. Obviously a lot of factors that could play into crowds such time of game, day of week etc. but that's personally how I'd rate them

I don't know the win/loss record for BU at Hilton, but I believe Syter than most Big 12 teams. So maybe that is part of that perception. I guess I feel that KSU seems more coordinated in their fan base. Seems like students occupy the whole baseline on one side.

Bears didn't get their win win in Hilton until I believe either 16 or 17. They've had a lot of success their recently though

I didn't feel good about this matchup last month..and I don't now ...Tang knows the weakness of everyone on our roster minus George and how to attack it ..and we really don't have a book on their roster because they're all transfers..that advantage won't change for a couple years.

Drew is gonna have to earn his salary tomorrow with some kind of wrinkle or off speed pitch to throw Tang off.

That's a lot of recent wins! Add to those totals winning in Waco most of those years as well.

On the other hand, I think the rest of the league is starting to catch up with Tang over the past few games. I think our staff will too. Our first game we lost a dog fight to them when we were at our worst and KSU was at their best. Since then the teams have trended in opposite directions. Plus I like us to come out hungry and angry after our thrashing on Saturday.

Agree. We need this one to stay relevant in conference. Hopefully that second half in Lawrence was the slap in the face we needed to come out and really play defense for 40 minutes.

The ISU-KSU game was a grinder. If they can't slow the game down against BU and grind, I don't like our chances. If Baylor controls tempo, I like our chances.

Tempo in the ISU v KSU game resulting in a grinder was probably more so due to ISUs style of play. It'll come down to staying in front of a Nowell he abused us in Waco shut him down and KSU becomes east to defend as he opens things up for their offense
