I have read that the gun did not belong to Miller and that it actually belong to the perpetrator. The perpetrator asked Miller to bring him his gun, and Miller complied. I think it would be hard to argue that Miller is an accessory to a crime for simply bringing someone else their own gun. For all he knew, it may have been needed for self-defense or that perhaps he just wanted it in his car.

I think it's best to rely on law enforcement here rather than rush to judgment.
