With last night's win over TCU, Coach Drew passed Ron Hunter (former Georgia State and current Tulane HC). He's now tied for 103rd place all-time with 462 wins with Sean Miller (former Arizona and current Xavier HC) and Jim Baron (former St. Bonaventure and Rhode Island coach).

Drew is one victory behind Matt Painter, and two behind Bill Herrion, longtime New Hampshire coach who retired last year.

With today's win over KU, Scott Drew has 463 wins, and moves into sole possession of 104th place all-time. He passes Jim Baron, and is now one win behind Matt Painter and Sean Miller (both of whom won today), and Bill Herrion.

With tonight's win over Cincinnati, Coach Drew passes longtime New Hampshire coach Bill Herrion, who retired last year. He's now tied for 100th all-time with Xavier HC Sean Miller, whose season is over.

He's also tied with Taps Gallagher, who coached Niagara from 1931 until 1965, and Tim Floyd, who coached at a number of schools, including Iowa State, but is best known as being the coach that succeeded Phil Jackson as the Chicago Bulls HC in 1999.

With yesterday's win over Colgate on the Round of 64, Coach Drew passes Taps Gallagher and former Iowa State and Chicago Bulls head coach Tim Floyd on the all-time coaching victory list.

He now has 466 career wins, and moves into the Top 100 all-time. He's in a three-way tie for 98th place with former Eastern Michigan, Cal, and Rice coach Ben Braun, and former UMass, Michigan, and Iowa State coach Johnny Orr. He's one win behind former Washington and current Tulane coach Lorenzo Romar.

Never knew this thread existed! Awesome!! Drew has a chance to climb pretty damm high before he retires if he keeps his current trajectory

I think he will coach another 10 years....run between 250-300 wins to hit the magical 750 wins or get dang close to it. Then retire. Statue put up a few days later....

Maybe I'm too ambitious and optimistic but I would to see him get 30+ wins this season.

I think he coaches another 15 years. He doesn't seem to be the kind who hangs them up early. But I guess I wouldn't have thought that about Jay Wright either.

With Saturday's victory over Arkansas, Coach Drew passed long-time Iowa State and Michigan coach Johnny Orr, as well as former Rice, Cal, and Eastern Michigan coach Ben Braun.

With tonight's win over Sam Houston, Coach Drew keeps pace with Xavier coach Sean Miller, and passes former Pepperdine, Saint Louis, and Washington coach Lorenzo Romar, who is currently an assistant at Loyola Marymount.

Coach Drew has 468 wins and sits tied for 97th place. Next up on the all-time list is former Michigan and current Harvard coach Tommy Amaker.

I think he coaches another 5 years..long enough to groom a successor and maybe try NBA or USA National Team.

Has every player that will ever play for CSD as Head Coach already been born?

His last season at tOSU was 2017. He started at Butler in 2022, and didn't coach anywhere in between those jobs. Interestingly enough, his first head coaching gig was at Butler, in 2000-01. Butler and Pepperdine seem to be cradles for future P5 coaches.

Drew also passed Sean Miller and holds a 2-win lead on him at the moment. The gap between Thad Matta and Drew has closed to one game, currently.

With Wednesday's win over Kansas State, Coach Drew passed Kermit Davis into 93rd place all time. With today's victory over Utah, Coach Drew moves into a tie with former Illinois State, Vanderbilt, and Pitt coach Kevin Stallings for 92nd place all time.

Butler won today, so Thad Matta remains one win ahead of Drew. Matta is tied with longtime Arizona coach Fred Enke with 480 career victories.
