Five dollars. That is the advertised price on espn of a ticket to upcoming BU Vs Iowa St game. Now those who want to argue that we still need a 10,000 seat auditorium are mistaken. You can't pay the bills on 5 dollar tickets. The economics say lower supply makes values rise. Smaller arena, but more money. More money, potentially stronger program. UT new Arena (smaller) getting over 200 a ticket vs KU. Yes it's KU, but they could not have commanded that price in larger, hard to fill coliseum. As well as we are playing, five dollars is a clear indication that demand does not match 10,000 seats. We fill it up only a few games a year.

Who has said they still want a 10K+ capacity arena?

I think just about everybody is on board with downsizing. It's just that some of us feel a 30% reduction in capacity is too drastic and runs the risk of potentially making us look smaller time than we are.

Anyway - moot point because that's apparently what we're doing.

UT also isn't on spring break until next week.

I almost wondered why we're not hyping last game ever in Ferrell then I realized we still will play non conference there next year.

It's last conference game for both MBB & WBB.

I think non conference games will be played at old place next year.

UT has About 300 percent larger student body than BU! And yet their new arena is only 33 percent larger than our new arena will be! Ours is actually quite large in comparison to theirs when one factors in student and alumni populations.

Yeah, next year, it'll be $500 a ticket to see us close down Ferrell against Nicholls State.
