Cleveland won the championship with Lebron when he was acquired via free agency. So while technically he was drafted by Cleveland, it has a slightly different meaning than the other 3 on that list.whitetrash said:
Interesting factoid on Yahoo sports yesterday regarding the #1 overall pick. Of the 38 picks since the lottery was introduced in 1985, only 4 won an NBA title with the team that drafted them. And of the 4, it was 2 sets of 2 #1 overall picks (Spurs with Robinson and Duncan, Cavs with LBJ and Kyrie).

Looks like Keyonte is doing the work in the training room and gym. I expect him to be one of the top rookies in the league next year.TWD 1974 said:gobears20 said:“Obstacles can’t stop you. Problems can’t stop you. Most of all, other people can’t stop you. Only you can stop you.”

Scouts are drooling over him, but he was barely a factor for Baylor. He was good until about January and then a liability the rest of the year. It's hard for me to care about his career when he did very little for Baylor.
Keyonte had 20 at Kansas, had 23 at KSU (when Flagler went 1-13), went down with the injury against Texas, and did not look 100% when he came back pretty quickly from the ankle injury. He appears to be a scorer where everything comes from his quick first step, which he didn't seem to have in March.Keyser Soze said:BaylorLit 01 said:

He was only Big12 Fr of the Year and our secord leading scorer behind Flagler (by only .3 PPG)

That said, Freshman are going to look bad on more than one occasion in the Big 12. All of the 19 year olds at the top of the draft this year struggled down the stretch.

I've seen Key projected anywhere from 9-14 in most mocks. Either way he has a real good chance to be our third top 10 draft pick in the last 3 years. Would be more than Kentucky's had in the last 6...

Kentucky has also had 23 first rounders in the last decade to Baylor's 3

Yet they have the same number of national championships.

In total or just the last decade?
So you don't actually care about him, just your rah rah feel good. Got it.BaylorLit 01 said:
Yea, he'll be good in a couple years. That doesn't help Baylor. I'm just not sure we should target more than 1 such player per class. Keyonte looked checked out during March Madness.
