Mayer got his first action in game three of Summer League,19pt, 10 reb, 2blk, 55% shooting, mostly in the first half. Locked down a couple folks on D as well. Bunch of twitter Rockets fans got pretty excited about the prospect of a versatile 6-9 with a dribble drive and 3 point shot.

Great to hear. Will always be one of favorite "don't take that shot….I knew he could make that shot" players. Would be great to see him put in the work to be a really good player. He has the talent.

Another strong game tonight. He's playing for Houston, but Dallas is the team with openings at his position.
All around strong showing in Summer League by our Baylor contingent. Mayer gets one last chance tomorrow night in the Championship game.
KG had the best game of any player in Summer League. Roomies Butler and Mayer also had strong games and Brown showed enough.
Does anyone know why Adam Flagler didn't play… If he was injured he should have shown up as DNP in a box score, but he didn't show up at all.

Butler had 31 tonight for the Thunder. He's been a bright spot for sure.

Rockets thumped in Summer League Championship game. Mayer Box +/- +11. Advanced stats love him in Summer League. They loved him on our NCAAM National Championship team in 2020/201 also. He's played well enough to get picked up by an NBA team. We'll see.

It's also pretty amazing that he can stay in Texas. How often do athletes get to play HS, college, & pro in the same state? I bet it's not often. The only other one I can think of is Jalen Pitre, also in Houston (his home town!), although I'm sure there are others.
