Wow, plus 1000, seems like a pretty good risk to take. If KU wasn't an automatic loss in Lawerence I would be more sure of going all in. Refs NEVER call the game fair there.

I do not see TCU as having better odds than Baylor. They might be close, maybe, but we might sweep them this year. At least I hope so!

It is a function of the imbalanced scheduled.

We have ten games against KU/Texas/BYU/TTU/TCU. We play everyone else once.

TCU has ten games against ISU/Cincy/WVU/TTU/BU. They play everyone else once.

Eliminate the common opponents/against each other and you're left with the following difference in the scheduling:

BU has six games against KU/Texas/BYU.

TCU has six games against ISU/Cincy/WVU.

Purely on gut before the season starts, that feels like a 2 game edge for TCU in the standings.

That makes a lot of sense. I kinda thought it might be something like that.

If we end up with the same conference record we should be ranked higher & have a better seed come March. If we can sweep them then we will have a better seed in KC too. I know the Big 12 tourney is not as important as March Madness but it still would be nice to win one of those occasionally.
