This is one thing Baylor fans kind of fail to take into account. Ugly early-season basketball will be the new normal in the one-and-done plus transfer portal era. Most power conference teams, including most national powers, are rebuilding large chunks of their roster every year, and none will be close to midseason form in November and December.

The key in the first two months is just to win as many games as possible and try to get better for the second semester. Style points mean nothing anymore. Just win, baby.

Both of these teams are definitely works in progress. Surprised at how many bricks from the outside Duke has thrown up in the Arizona game and now this. Michigan St historically isn't a good outside shooting team and their offense is based on breakdowns inside, so I get why they're not hitting.

Either way, both of these teams are beatable if we are playing well.
