We will not be a tier 1 student section without it.

Well never be a Tier 1 student section anyway. That's okay.

City of Waco went in on this project so that it could be used for events other than basketball, so bench seats was not really an option,

I thought the arena looked great on TV. The steep incline of the seating (especially the upper level) makes it appear considerably bigger than a 7500 seat arena - at least on TV. Like a lot of others, I've got a problem with the main camera angle which is like watching a televised game at OSU's Gallagher-Iba Arena and not a good thing.

People get too caught up on what the seating number is as opposed to what it feels like. The Carrier Dome in Syracuse is the largest campus arena in the country and it feels like a whistling barn while you're in it.

An arena can be giant and feel tiny, or be tiny and feel giant. Based on the actual game experience against a team with which we have no history or animosity, the pavilion is going to feel twice its size. And not just for big games - for every game.
