Went to last nights women's game. Sat in section 221. Seats themselves are great - all padded…but, too narrow and not much room to slide by when getting to seat past people. We saw everyone struggling. I feel sorry fo those that are a bit larger in body type. It will be tough to fit in the seats. At Ferrel, it seemed like folks stood up to cheer more. Our section barely stood at some great moments. Afraid of heights perhaps!!! Final comment…I love the music, but the bass about made me nauseous. And the no bathrooms or concessions on second level is a problem…

It's 2024. Most folks have finally learned they have no obligation whatsoever to pay ever-rising prices to do things that are inconvenient, stressful or unenjoyable. I love Baylor University, and following select sports teams has been a lifelong passion of mine. But at the end of the day this is an entertainment product like any other and I'll unapologetically treat and enjoy it as such.

Ignoring a work schedule that makes attending out-of-town events of all types difficult, a trip to Waco is a six-hour round trip drive for me and requires me to either take my two children or miss whatever they've got going on at home at the time. I'm not going to be bullied or pressured into dropping hundreds of dollars to do something that is often a giant hassle, when I get just as much enjoyment and a more complete view of the game watching it on TV. I'll attend one-off games here and there because it's fun to do from time to time. But I'll never feel obligated to do so.

Those who prefer attending games in person, like my dad and brother, should absolutely do so. I'll never discourage anyone from spending their own time or money how they choose to as long as it's within the bounds of what's legal and ethical. But I'm also not going to listen to others tell me how I should or should not spend mine.

I attend literally hundreds of sporting events a year for my work. I'm going to watch and enjoy Baylor's how I choose.

Totally agree with you . . . the older I get, I am much more selective in the games I attend. I live in TN, so watching Baylor games live is pretty much off the table. I was in MSG for the Duke game in December but made it a family trip. Went to the NC game in Indianapolis a few years ago. Watched them in Tuscaloosa a couple of years ago. Even went to Ferrell for opening game in 2022 against some cannon fodder team. Hopeful of being there live at some point in the NCAA tourney this year. As bad as our fan base travels, I feel like I can support them better in these neutral sight/away games.

By the way, it must be nice to attend hundreds of sporting events a year for work. I need a job like that.

3 seats face straight and you have to turn your neck and 2 are angles toward the court… 2 of the seats are angled toward each other and share the same leg space…

Well, it IS a $2mil facility. BU has always operated on the cheap in some fashion. Seniors, and comfort was not a priority. Probably technology was the key pinnacle factor.

With that being said, thinking along the future, IF BU is considered for a venue in post season is it expected that the FC will always be used?

It was a $212.6 million facility. That's hardly cheap.

I'm not jazzed about my seats for MBB, but I knew going in that I would be lucky just to be able to be in the building. They're not row 4 on the floor like I had at FC, but as long as the players wear dark or white bold numbers on their jerseys so that I can tell who's on the floor, I'll be alright. My main complaints are 1. the spacing between rows (have to stand up every time someone wants to go to the restroom or concession stand and then again when they return; and 2. The boards that display the team stats don't stay on consistently. Most of the time when I want to look at the stats, I only see an ad for TFNB. There are plenty of spaces on the ribbon board to have several ads displayed concurrently. Leave the stat boards (both player and team) alone.
