I didn't realize there were doubts. It looked clear to me. What transpired before that was a big mess. Arguments can be made whether that helped or hurt each team. Either way, the odds were in Baylor's favor at that point.

I don't think there's any question the clock situation hurt Baylor and helped ISU. A full court heave with 1.7 seconds vs an extra time-out, plus a set play with half-court inbounds and 1.2 seconds. Not to take anything away from ISU. This debacle was all on the refs and clock operator. And count or not, that was a great set play and great shot.

I always coached that it took 1.5 to do anything but turn and shoot. It takes 2 seconds to pass and shoot or one dribble and shoot. The play the coach called was impossible.

His fade away is outstanding and almost impossible to defend. Comparisons to Nowitzki are appropriate in that sense.

If Momcilovic hadn't strayed quite so far from the catch man or bobbled the ball just a little on the catch, we might have found out the hard way that it wasn't. But virtually everything had to go perfectly just to get a shot off in time. Fortunately, it didn't.

I think the shot that was blown dead so they could put more time in the clock, & give Iowa State a freebie time out, was missed badly. Is that the one you mean?
