Looking at the conference schedule I think you could easily argue this is the toughest remaining game. Would love to be wrong but I see it as a double digit loss. I think ISu is the best team in the conference. That said you never know. Maybe we catch em on an off day. I'll say ISU by 11 hoping i'm way off and the Bears pull the upset.

I hope I am wrong, but I see this one getting ugly and early in the first half. I think we might lose this one by 18+. Go Bears!

I'm used to it, spent 3 hours out on the ice fishing yesterday.
Driving just isn't worth it for me with the heavy pre and post game traffic

This will definitely be the toughest remaining game on the regular season schedule.

Yeah, if you live South of Lincoln Way and East of Welch it makes sense to walk.

You've been to Ames a few times. Football or basketball?

Steal this one and the conference is there for the taking. KU's transfers are shaky, Hou has limited offensive talent and no real no.1, ISU is good but having a road win over them could flip the game. I could see Az or WVU being a darkhorse and I just don't see BYU getting the road wins they need to contend.

That said, I don't see this team being tough enough (ball security, defense, rebounding) to beat Iowa St on the road.

KU's problem is Dickinson, Harris and Adams. Their transfers especially Zeke Mayo have been good. Adams and Harris have sucked this year. And Dickinson is the worst post defender I've seen

I disagree about their main problem. Storr has been their main problem as has the Alabama transfer (Griffen I think). Storr was supposed to be their top transfer and he's been terrible. I agree the returners aren't great so KU also has a basic talent problem but thats been the case for a year now. They are decent though just deficient in their own ways (Dickinson on D, Harris on O).

I believe Storr not delivering on either end has been the biggest issue.

Are there any first round picks on this Kansas squad? There always used to be. In the NIL era Self no longer has a monopoly on talent. He's still a great coach.

I think we get it done in Ames.

The amount of 1st round picks a team has doesn't dictate how good they are. ISU, Houston and KU aren't likely to have any 1st rounders in this summers draft.

My first several football games were at Clyde Williams Field and my first BB was at the Armory. Had several family members in Ames/ISU and still do. While I was there as a GA, I learned that driving my truck meant losing my parking space...so I walked...and walked. Ugh.

I spent a lot of time down on Welch and Lincoln Way gorging on pizza and hoisting draughts at Pizza Den and Cave In...all gone now, I suppose.

That's awesome!! I used to park at the armory parking lot. Racked up tons of parking tickets there. Started just putting previous tickets in my window before I walked to class. Worked until I ended up with 2 on my window one day.

Iowa State is definitely on the bucket list. I don't think this is the year I would want to go. ISU looks tough and really well balanced. We have a lot of talent, I just haven't seen it gel yet. Way too many offensive sets with iso ball. It would be great to see a more fluid pass oriented offense but think I am going to be disappointed most games. I LOVE Robert at point, and could see him make an impact getting more talent to Waco next year. But the annual roster turnover just makes it hard to get excited about player development.

I don't know that I would necessarily count on Robert Wright being at Baylor next year. He's definitely shown a tremendous amount of loyalty thus far but I guarantee he and his family are gonna have plenty of voices in their ears if someone like Oregon and Nike, Arkansas, Kentucky or even a BYU suddenly decide to drop the box on him at $4 to $6 million, which is about double what we would be able to pay him at the max. The kid doesn't have NBA measurables (not saying he can't play in the NBA, just that he doesn't have the typical size that interests most scouts) and so he may be able to make a lot more money in the next 3-4 years of college ball playing the NIL game than he would banking on potential money from a pro career. He and his family would be remiss if they didn't at least listen to proposals.

The two positions in basketball that drive the highest NIL dollars are big man and point guard. While he's not the greatest defender in the world he's already shown he is and will continue to be a pretty damn good PG.

Ojianwiune (17) will be the key. If he plays well we have a chance.

FYI, I didn't say this the last two years!

Can't recall a time you've guaranteed a win and we've actually won. Hopefully 20th times a charm tomm!
