They've lost 6 of their last 7.

Mississippi St is similar to us. For the most part they feasted on the bottom of the conference. They did have a win against A&M but that was one of the few against the top half of the SEC.

With a win vs MS, Roach will be on a collision course with his former Duke team in the 2nd rd. Hope he will show up.

I doubt it's the case, but I sure hope the players aren't overlooking Miss St. this team isn't good enough to overlook anyone, let alone a tournament team

Any team on that 8/9 line is going to have major warts.

I'm not scared of Mississippi State at all. But I don't have a ton of confidence in our ability to show up and perform either.

Hopefully these guys surprise me and play their best ball on the biggest stage.

Said this on another thread, we are in much better shape going into the tournament compared to the past 2 seasons. The past 2 seasons we came limping into tournament playing banged up and injured. This time around, we are playing better than we have all season. Losing Josh hurt but we have everyone else back healthy. We have had enough time to recalibrate and have been trending up the past few games.

Yep. Everyone in the 7 thru 10 spots from major conference is there because they are talented, but highly inconsistent. So it basically becomes a one game playoff that usually depends on which team is having one of their good games.

It feels weird to say that when we lost two of our last three… but being competitive against houston and tech does give me some more confidence. We seem to be clicking about as well as we have all year.

You can always lose in the tournament. I think everyone acknowledges that.

But there are matchups that are much tougher/scarier than others. I knew we were going to struggle with Creighton two years ago and didn't like the Clemson matchup last year, for instance.

I don't fear Mississippi State at all. They can certainly beat us. But if we play well, we should have a solid chance to win.

FWIW...line has flipped and now BU is a 1.5 underdog. Virtual coin flip.

I saw this also, kind of crazy to see a 3 point swing that quickly. I wonder if it has anything to do with Love being able to play, doubt it, but just seems weird for it to swing that much in 24 hours.

Maybe a lot of early money was coming in on Mississippi State and they wanted to even it out.

I know you've always been caught on Chery's miss and that certainly didn't help, but that didn't lose the game. What lost the game is that our guards over-rotated to the left in the zone and Medford couldn't get back fast enough to get a hand in RJ Hunter's face so it basically left him wide open just above the top of the key to hit the 3 point shot that won it.

Does Miss St have anyone that can handle Norchad? I love in the Tech game they just kept feeding him the ball. Had 10 points in the first 5 minutes. That would be a good strategy to get him going early.

I am a new Baylor basketball fan, where I live I am not connected to the university so have chosen Baylor as my college hoops team. Pumped to see their journey through the tournament this year! Let's go Bears!

Fo sho

Any given Friday

I mean you could even play tech and they could hit maybe 15/16 3 pointers before going cold and you look up and you're down 10. Stuff happens

No doubt. It pit what happened back on the table but we shoulda never been in that position to begin with

And to be fair even what you said didn't lose the game for us

I think we can both agree we never should have been in that place for either of those events to have a material impact on the outcome. There were issues throughout that led to that embarrassment.
