Our track record developing bigs, in particular, should give anyone pause when dismissing the potential of future contributions from a freshman post player. Our staff has been absolutely elite in that regard.

Won't even charge my phone during this game. May the refs get slapped on the back and swallow their whistle if they try to call a charge on a bear.

I am grateful he can play but it's apparent that he should not be playing from the minute he steps on the floor. I have faith that he will get better but he is really raw and it is going to take 2 years just to get him to any kind of significant minutes. I love all our guys and route for them. We will need him for minutes against Duke for sure. I just wish we didn't.

I never said anything about those guys. Not trying to be a jerk about it, but I wish we didn't have to play him right now. I get why we have to, but wish we didn't. I'm sure he can develop into a serviceable player, but based on what I am seeing it's going to be a couple of years.

Duke's talented, but they've got some weaknesses. They rely heavily on young players like we do, which can lead to mistakes under pressure. They struggle in physical games, especially on the boards, and their offense can get stagnant in the half-court. Their defense isn't always sharp on the perimeter, and if their stars aren't clicking, they don't always have reliable backups. Baylor just needs to bring toughness, poise, and shoot well from the outside. Let's shock the world and screw everybody's bracket up lol

I agree on the stagnant offense at times, bc they play without a true point guard which I see as their biggest weakness. Flagg plays that point foward spot for them at times and it works because college forwards cannot defend big ball handlers.

Agree on defensive lulls. Slightly agree on the youth. It may show itself in later rounds but they have young guys with a uniquely efficient and mature playstyle. They just don't turn the ball over which is unique for relying on younger feature players. Their size also helps with this. So far they look like the exception but that kind of roster usually runs into some problems over time.

I think they're actually fine against physicality but that will be put to the test. Not having their second best defender due to injury hurts them a little.

I can only think of one poster on this board who has actually slandered Dubravcic. Most here know exactly what he is.

The post in this thread mentioning his name is about Roach, not Dubravcic.
