Doesn't have VJ's hops. Then again, no one does.

While the dunks are impressive, the most impressive thing I see in that video is that he doesn't have the typical underdeveloped freshman body. He looks like he's already built to be able to bang bodies near the rim with 23 year old 5th year seniors.

Will be interesting to watch him tonight. The McDonald's game is a pretty crappy indicator of how good someone is but just getting there is impressive and usually translates to a successful college career. Pretty crazy, I believe this is the 4th year in a row we have a MDAA on our team. I still remember when Drew was pissing off Bobby Knight because he was advertising that Baylor has signed a McDonald's candidate in Tweety and Tech hadn't.

Assuming there is zero chance he stays more than one year. He does look like he could immediately match the bodies of juniors and seniors in college which is encouraging. He is considered one of the best if not the best high school player in CA. Think about the fact that we signed the best player; at least ranking wise, in NY last year and CA this year. Just unreal! I know it does not mean we will have a good team or that we will be successful in the tourney, which is what we all want, but to get these level of guys here was unthinkable when Drew got here.

Write up from CBS

Tounde Yessoufou Even though his team lost the scrimmage, Yessoufou would have probably gotten our vote for the top performer. Built like a guy who could easily pass for an elite football recruit, Yessoufou's energy, athleticism and non-stop motor allowed him to make a lot of plays. He bullied players without his strength, drained some jump shots and as much as anybody in the building seemed to relish the chance to compete against players from the opposing team. The Baylor bound wing has some young Luguentz Dort to his game

Second quarter. He is playing well,a real stat sheet stuffer. He has steals, dunks, rebounds and assists. The announcers complimented his energy and all around play. The West team made a nice run while he was in the game.He missed a 3 but he can take it to the cup.

I didn't think I'd see another Baylor player with a motor that never turns off once Mark Vital departed. Lo and behold I see another one tonight who appears to have an extremely high motor and his name is Tounde Yessoufou.

What yall are describing Sounds kind of like one of those old school ok st players when Eddie Sutton was there in the 2000s. Strong and tenacious and athletic. Just all ballers.

Watching this game reminds me why I see very few 5 stars who can actually play any D. This is like a bad AAU game with basically Yessoufou and a couple of others the only ones trying to play D and the rest just standing around waiting for someone to get a rebound and pass it to them so they can dribble down the court and shoot it.

That was the best sequence I've seen this entire game. Boozer thought he was going to out-physical Yessoufou and back him down in the paint. He met a complete brick wall and had to pass it off. Yessoufou was spotting 4 inches in height and 20 lbs in weight, and completely shut Boozer down from moving.

With the transfer portal and NIL it feels like any talented player is now potential one and done now... maybe not always to the NBA… but to other college teams. Everything has just fundamentally changed in a non-stable way unfortunately.

Teams that were just in the sweet 16 are already losing players to the portal.
