Yes, I'm a day late.

The entire run was great:

Baylor's greatest TEAM in Baylor athletics history. Perhaps one of the greatest TEAMs in NCAA D-I Men's Basketball history.

The NCAA ruined it all. With the (wide) open portal and (ruleless) NIL now, we'll probably never see a real TEAM ever built again in men's college basketball.....at any program.

They ruined it by not dealing with it earlier and having coaches and administrators turn the other way while making hundreds of millions of dollars. They could have a much better system in place if they were forward thinking. But we are here now.

I wouldn't go that far. The 2021 Gonzaga team was great. UConn had great teams two years in a row. All 4 #1 seeds this year made it to the FF and are great this year.

Maybe none of those are examples are as great at what we had in 2021 but many people have been saying ever since that it was one of the best teams ever. By definition, one of the best teams ever is going to be better than almost any other one can compare them to. It's an almost impossible standard.

It can be easy to forget how amazingly special that team was & how blessed we were to have them.

Well, yes. Obviously. That's how "best ever" works.

Michael Jordan

That was an incredible night. My only regret is that thanks to the Covid hysteria it wasn't in front of a packed house as it should've been.
