Love the idea of adding a freshman with a lot of upside to this roster that has a several 1 year guys. Gotta believe his dad has helped teach him tough defensive principles. Just needs to hit the weight room and develop the body like most kids that age. Seems like this would be a great addition to the existing roster.

Same. This is exactly the type of player I've wanted to see us add.

Adding him and then getting him to stay… can't seem to wrap my head around how different those things are.

Well, you never know in the new world, but one potential difference in this situation may be that his family probably doesn't need the money so maybe he's less likely to jump than some others who may not be from as much money?

I think dad still has two years of eligibility left as well...

He's older. Would likely be a one and done.

please tell me then where multiple people say he is a one and done, but i misunderstood?!

If you're so smart, then explain it to me like i am 5 and not carry multiple bachelors and masters degrees. please.

They were saying that Iguadola's father (former NBA player) still had eligibility left, but due to his age he would likely be one and done.

The younger Andre is a 3 star and would likely play multiple years.

He would likely be a redshirt and develop type.

Tounde Yessoufou on the other hand is going to be one and done.

Was the Finals MVP for the first of them.

Iguodala was the consummate hustle player/glue guy. He was rarely the best player on any of the teams he played on, especially late in his career. But he was often one of the most important ones.

He might. Can't imagine he needs to chase the money and he won't be NBA ready after one season

For that reason, it'd be a pretty good encouragement if Iggy chooses the Bears over the Wildcats! And at the same time, pretty understandable if he chooses to walk in his dad's footsteps

I agree!

But shhhhhhh... don't tell Rob Wright that someone with 4 NBA rings is sending his son to Baylor. I'm guessing Andre Iguodala thinks his son will be developed at BAYLOR!!!

Sic 'em!

Yeah, he still looks like a kid in the face and body. If he's willing to stick around and be developed, he'll leave Baylor a grown man and a much more polished basketball player.

Unfortunately, that's a really big if these days.
