I went to a practice in October to see freshmen Jerrells,Dugat and Rogers.The other 2 had gotten more ink and were high major talents but, I was more impressed by Curtis.He was a man with 4 year starter written all over him.

I'm gonna give a shout out to Michael Tate who was on campus when during my time at Baylor. Great guy.

I think John Wheeler had to sit the 83-84 season due to transfer rules, but we had the beginnings of the greatest paralympic team to ever play in the SWC back then. The WTH enthused that Haller finally had his big man when Wheeler signed -- he had averaged 2/1 at Cleeland State -- but the reality set in pretty quickly.

On a more serious note, what Michael Tate could do on a basketball court, given his physical limitations, really was amazing.

Never pulled for a Baylor opponent, but Phi Slamma Jamma was why we did not miss that game

That game was the only time in 4 years of BU that I got my picture in the Lariat; albeit unrecognizable because we were sitting first row courtside at HOT with paper bags on our heads.

Aaron Bruce out of Australia in 2005. Leading freshman scorer in the nation.

That recruiting class was when I truly knew CSD was building something special. Followed up Aaron Bruce with those guys. Who can forget the Curtis Jerrells crossover and the Henry Dugat floater. And who needed Darrell Arther when we got his teammate Kevin Rogers?
